Tips From Our Local Movers

  • Wrap all items individually in either packing paper or bubble wrap.
  • Be sure to place layers of packing paper at the bottoms of the boxes for extra cushion, as well as fill any empty spaces with extra packing paper.
  • Put heavier items in the bottom of the box.
  • Don’t overload boxes and use a dolly to move heavy boxes to and from the moving truck.
  • Pack one room at a time to keep all items organized and together. This makes for easy unpacking later.

  • Label every box! Label the tops and sides with a brief description of contents.
  • Mark boxes that contain fragile items and put those boxes on top of heavy boxes when moving.
  • Tape all seams very well with packing tape.
  • Disassemble furniture and put the hardware in a resealable bag. Then, wrap your furniture with moving blankets and pads.
  • Zip ties can be used to wrap up cords to prevent them from being tangled in the box.
